A while back I posted a review for a story about a Japanese scientist who created the above robot (the "woman" on the left is the robot). The lifelike qualities of this robot are incredible and the story was all over the news for a while. Not to be outdone, a scientist here in the United States has built the following robot, which can be controlled via computer. Its parts appear to include a couple of jello molds and a bunt cake pan.
Interesting, but not quite the "technological breakthrough" of the Japanese robot. I'm not sure if that's a sad commentary on the schooling system in the U.S., or if it speaks volumes of American ingenuity in the kitchen.
